European Capital of Culture - RUHR 2010

To hold the title of "European Capital of Culture" is something very special, last year the honour was given to the English City of Liverpool, the event was a tremendous success. This year the title has been awarded to the Ruhr region of Germany. RUHR 2010 will be one of the main highlights for Germany, promissing an endless line up of spectacular events and extravagant attractions.

Oberammergau, Passion Play and so much more!

In 1632 Oberammergau suffered a pandemic outbreak of the "Black Death", it tragically killed 20% of the population. To prevent such a terrible misfortune from happening again the villagers of Oberammergau pledged to indefinitely perform a Passion Play every 10 years. 
To this day this promise has been upheld. For many people the Oberammergau Passion Play is today regarded as a once in a life time musical event.
